Our wedding day was amazing! Honestly better than we could’ve ever imagined. We are so grateful for everyone that attended and made our wedding possible/successful. It was truly a memorable weekend.

When planning a wedding there are so many details and moving parts that it is easy to forget some aspects. Overall, the essential tip for your wedding is to relax, eat and have fun. That’s it! If you’ve been planning it for a while, not much will change the day of. So, forget about everything and enjoy your big day.

Now looking back at my wedding day I decided to compile some tips that I figured would help the next bride.

Have someone assigned to make you eat!
This is so important! I’m certain you’ve heard this in the past, but you will literally forget. Thankfully, I had one of my good friends on that duty. Granted I did not assign her that, she just knows me. It worked out! I stayed hydrated and ate all three meals that day. Wohoo! Cater food to your getting ready party! That way you start the day on the right note.

Blotting paper
If you are like me, you are going to be dancing the whole night. I was seriously on the dance floor the whole time. Therefore, blotting papers are essential. You remove the shininess without removing your makeup. Perfect!
Don’t overlook getting a videographer
For real! I have talked with many brides and they have mentioned that for XYZ reason they did not hire one. Looking back they wish they had. I’m telling you it’s 100% worth it.

Consider the first look
Charlie and I did not hesitate on this. We both wanted to enjoy our wedding from start to finish and maximize our day. So, the first look was perfect. I do understand some brides want their groom to see them for the first time when she walks down the aisle, so it’s an extremely personal decision.
We did our family photos before the ceremony too, which meant we had so much time to celebrate with our friends and family. Loved it!

Mix the seating chart.
Don’t divide the space with one family on one side and the other on the other side
We loved seeing our family mingle! It worked out. Make a list of everything you need for your wedding day.

As mentioned, there are so many little details. Pack scissors, razors, fashion tape, perfume, lip balm, mouthwash, lotion, and nude underwear. I’m certain you will need those before you head out the door to see the love of your life.

Pack extra comfy shoes!
Put those under your table and grab them when needed. It’s a long day and you don’t want to be hurting. Trust me!

You 100% need a wedding day of coordinator
If something goes wrong, you don’t want to be the point of contact to solve the issue. You worked so hard to make this day happen, you have to enjoy it from start to finish. We are grateful all our vendors were fantastic!

Cut your dresses’ hanger straps
I did this for everyone else and totally forgot to do this for myself. Ugh! It barely came out, but it did in some photos. Quite annoying!

Assign someone at the end of the night to grab the gifts/cards
Don’t be in charge of this duty. The only thing you should be thinking of is having fun. Someone will gladly help you with that at the end of the night.

Sign up for The Guest app and tell your guest to sign up too
I’m all about capturing little moments, therefore this app was super essential. You get to see your wedding from a whole different perspective. I truly loved it! I have about 700 videos/photos. Now you don’t have to hunt down for candid photos because it automatically uploads and it’s all in one place. Did I say it’s free?
