Growing up I always felt the urge of traveling and experiencing new things. I always knew there would be a point in my life in which I would check off bucket list places. But as I get older, this has somewhat changed. I say ‘somewhat’ because I still enjoy traveling and discovering new places but I love revisiting old ones.
How often did we hear don’t speak to strangers growing up? I would say very often! There is definitely some value to this statement, but as I grow older the more I catch myself trying to get out of that mindset. Speaking to strangers is actually amazing! It’s an opportunity to consider new perspectives and even add value to our life.
Not every single part of our job [or even life] is fun, unfortunately. We tend to fantasize about the road ahead but realize throughout the journey that the steps can be daunting/boring. Been there, done that. Why don’t we change the narrative?
Focus on the journey not the destination… Boy, we sure have heard that a bunch! Am I right? If only it were that simple. Why
We can’t run at 110% all the time, unfortunately. There are moments when we give too much to the world that we crash. Therefore, we need to take notice of when we need a much-needed breather. Being abroad for work is one my favorite things to do. I get to experience new things, mingle with locals and create awesome content. But, it doesn’t mean I get to unwind and relax. That’s where a quick road trip comes in handy.
Charlie and I recently went live on Instagram sharing our story of how we handle both working from home. This live session is no longer available. Therefore, I created this video so it could live forever.

I hope your International Women’s Day was filled with joy and empowerment. I spent part of my day interviewing a very inspiring lady. She is a TV host at HSN and entrepreneur, Colleen Lopez. Colleen owns a jewelry and apparel collection, which I am now thinking about getting my hands on. She shares such a positive message and is the sweetest.
Recently I got the opportunity to attend an event called American Dreams Academy hosted by HSN at The University of Tampa’s John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center. It was an interactive, educational and hands-on two-day experience for emerging entrepreneurs. To my surprise, it ended with a full day of product presentations by entrepreneurs. They presented their ideas and products to a small panel of experts (from HSN, Quirky and Viatek) for future consideration on HSN. What an amazing opportunity! It’s HSN American Dreams.
