I’ve been fortunate enough to be surrounded by people that constantly believed in taking risks and taking chances. That mentality definitely rubbed on me.
In many occasions we don’t move forward because we are too afraid or too comfortable where we are. Getting out there and trying something new is definitely scary, but it allows us to feel new sensations and potentially achieve big success. If we don’t throw ourselves out there, how can amazing things happen? They probably won’t.
“If you want something you never had, you have to do something you’ve never done” is one of my favorite quotes by Thomas Jefferson. How true is this? So true!
I have mentioned previously that 2018 was such a transformative year for me. I learned so much by encountering so many pitfalls. Last week I realized, thanks to Charlie, that 2018 was not really a “bad year” as I had labeled it. I definitely grew, although it wasn’t necessarily by hitting many accomplishments. It was more because I was able to declutter and focus on next steps.
Thanks to those tough moments in 2018 I am able to take a chance now. I’m discovering new territories that give me room for growth. Since I could remember I have been speaking about providing value to others, traveling the world and earning money.
Although I haven’t fully accomplished it, I have reflected on the path taken and realized that path has been leading me to that specific destination. But, is it all up to faith? I would say there’s definitely more to it.
I have full confidence and understand that I can only move forward if I take a chance. Unfortunately, opportunities won’t necessarily show up without putting the work in. I have to make room and put myself in those scenarios for amazing opportunities to show up. What do you think?
By taking small chances like I did in the fall, traveling alone to Paris, I got to meet someone that fully connected with my vision. It sort of opened my mind. She might read this post, so: Hey you, I can’t wait to travel around and provide awesome content to brands.
Will this goal be easy? AHH nothing that is worthy comes easy. Am I right?
Today, as I type, our first motion took place. It gives me chills to believe that what I’ve been dreaming about can honestly come true. There is more to the story, but I can’t reveal everything at once. What’s the fun in that? Haha.
As I embark on this new journey of mine I hope that it inspires you to embrace that little voice inside your head. There is no better time than now to take a chance. YOU have to act now! Life is happening and you have to be a protagonist— just saying.
