Tampa on the rise + Aurora Experience

by | Travel | 0 comments

Tampa is on the rise! I love being a part of a city that is thriving and evolving. It’s such a great time to be here in Tampa. The community is engaging and very supportive. You constantly hear how we are competing with other major cities when it comes to innovation and technology. Not to mention the development in the area as well, especially in Downtown Tampa. There is such a buzz lately about all the new projects and it’s definitely rubbing off on the residents.

As a young professional/entrepreneur, nothing gets me more excited than knowing that “my city” has the same mindset as me, newness + progression. Tampa is leading a path by motivating and connecting young professionals. More than ever, I believe, young professionals are becoming a part of “grown up” conversations and holding local decision makers accountable. In the midst of all this excitement in Downtown Tampa is a new luxury apartment community  – Aurora by Richman Signature Properties .

Located within walking distance from museums, restaurants, hockey stadium and nightlife, residents are centrally located to both professional and leisure experiences. The current Downtown momentum is definitely an appeal for those who want to live in urban areas, but still enjoy quiet moments with the multiple amenities offered by the complex. More on this below.

I recently spent the day at Aurora to find out what it’s really like to live here as a resident. As I entered the building, I immediately felt a welcoming atmosphere. My day as an Aurora resident started out at the Brunch and Bubbly resident event. Yes! This apartment complex organizes social events for its residents and creates partnerships with local and national like-minded brands. How amazing is this! I truly believe in becoming friends with neighbors and most importantly forming relationships. Life is all about that, so why not start right where you live. Aurora has the perfect spot to host these gatherings – its design is so chic and has ample space for it. I was AHH-mazed when I noticed its decor. Seriously, I am so obsessed. I literally want everything here. See for yourself.

During my stay, I toured the property and fell in love with the model unit and the multiple courtyards. The decor in the model comes from a partnership with Laurel and Wolf  an online interior design firm. Another perk about being an Aurora resident?  Everyone gets a special move in gift customized to their lifestyle. And one of those gifts is interior design services from Laurel & Wolf!-. I I could see myself reading and/or enjoying a great conversation with a friend in the beautifully designed common areas. Thankfully, the weather in Tampa has been amazing so I indeed sat down and did just so. I’m glad I got a break from the hectic holiday season. I’m sure we all need a break to breathe. Of course, the initial mimosa helped as well.

The pool area is huge, plenty of space for big groups/parties. It also has a fireplace, which is perfect for these fall/winter days in Florida. Sitting by the fireplace on a “chilly” evening sounds VERY appealing. Plus, it overlooks the pool. If that isn’t perfect design then what is? I spent minimal time at Aurora’s Fitness Center, which says a lot about me. Now you know what’s going on my 2018 New Year’s Resolution. Many residents were taking advantage of these amenities; I noticed several people at both locations. (Fitness Center + Pool). Maybe I should become friends with those at the gym and get some motivation #sorrynotsorry.

As mentioned above, Aurora is right by the Amalie Arena, a hockey stadium. We (Charlie and I) definitely needed to end our experience by enjoying a fun game, just like Aurora’s residents often get to do. Unfortunately, the Tampa Bay Lightning did not win that night, but it sure was fun. Do you like hockey?

Days later, at one of the multiple events held in Downtown Tampa, Yoga in the Park, I got to meet an Aurora resident. Talk about timing here! My experience at the property was great based on my one day adventure, but I’m glad I got to connect with someone that actually lives there. I decided to ask her some questions.

Here’s a short version. She’s a young professional who moved to Tampa from Washington D.C for a job opportunity. Based on her interests, Downtown Tampa became the chosen spot to live in. She enjoys living in vibrant neighborhoods with lots of activities and continue her live-work-play lifestyle. The appeal to be able to walk everywhere is very high. She enjoys the pool, although the water is too cold for her liking. Gotta love Floridians!

If you are new to the area or looking for a new place to live, check and see Aurora. It might be the perfect spot for you.
